A little love letter to Kolkata, past and present.
Some people seem to hate Kolkata, or find it "too difficult". But it's had a hold on me since my first visit over 30 years ago. It's not what it was - thankfully and necessarily things are changing since the Kolkata of the early 1990's, but there is still something about the people and the mix of hold and new that is both fascinating & inspiring. Of all India's major cities, Kolkata is the the one I'd most recommend as worth a visit. Or two.
